We recommend that you take full advantage of the provided pre-production rehearsal materials and give yourself the time necessary to really look through everything. If you decide that a certain element is best omitted to match your artistic vision, it is easy to exclude it. Scenic Projections TM packages are customizable and include many cue options to select from to produce the perfect scenery for your show - these can be something as simple as a lighting change or the sun setting. This makes integration of digital scenery into your production incredibly simple. Scenic Projections TM packages are uniquely aligned to your script: each image or video segment is tied to a specific cue line. Pretty slick.įigure53 provides one more method of accessing licenses. From here I can also deactivate a license so that I can transfer it to another computer. Here I can activate a license for a production on three machines: a booth computer, a backup computer, and an editing or designer computer. #QLAB LICENCE INSTALL#
Once purchased, you can then install a license either form the Manage Licenses window which can be accessed from the launcher window, or from the application menu. Figure53 knows that too, so upon request you can receive an educational discount.Īll of these licenses can then be purchased and managed through your Figure53 account onlilne. Rent QLab enough times and you can apply that money to a permanent license.įinally, if you’ve ever worked in academia, you know that there isn’t much money to go around even less then the artistic world. Even better, they’ve implemented a “Rent-to-Own” model. Sometimes purchasing a license for a single event is just too expensive, so QLab also lets you purchase rental licenses which are much cheaper and will operate for a specific number of days. They’ve broken it down into different categories to meet different needs. You can find a breakdown of the license features on Figure53’s website. But even these are fair and reasonably priced. To unlock some of QLab’s more powerful features, you’ll need to purchase a license however. In my opinion it’s a reflection of Figure53 and it’s staff.

Many of us don’t have a lot of money to spend in the first place, so to be able to use technology to express ourselves … for free … is an act of grace and kindness.
The fact that so many of QLab’s features are free is astounding.
